LEVI OKUNOV FALL/WINTER 2007/2008 COLLECTION

This season, Okunov will collaborate with Olympic Gold Medallist Oksana Baiul and renowned ballet dancer Saule Rachmedova to bring together New York Ice Theater and couture fashion on an ice rink provided by Super-Glide Ice.  Baiul joins Okunov while on break from her many tours and competitions around the country, including Champions on Ice, Stars on Ice, CBS Sports Ice Wars, and the Goodwill Games.

Levi Okunov is a twenty-one year old prodigy from the Hasidic 'shtetl' of Brooklyn. Growing up in a Yiddish speaking home, he defied tradition to learn old-country sewing techniques at the feet of his seamstress aunt. Okunov is a recognized master of the art of creating high fashion innovative, and fresh designs made with quality workmanship and executed in fabulous colors and exotic materials.

He presented his first collection at the age of nineteen. Since then, season after season, Okunov awes the fashion community with electrifying shows that deliver original cuts and other-worldly colors in a wide range of women's wear from high-end to everyday garments.

Levi was featured in Women's Wear Daily's "New Wave of Designers" list and has been spotlighted by Fashion Television and Flaunt Magazine, as well as profiled by The New York Jewish Week and others.
